What is the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) Calculator?

The Canada Child Benefit (CCB) is a tax-free monthly payment to eligible families to help with the cost of raising children under 18. The benefit amount depends on your adjusted family net income (AFNI), the number of children, and their ages. The 2024-25 maximum is $7,787/year for children under 6 and $6,570 for children 6–17. CCB is reduced above $36,502 family income.

Formula

Max CCB = $7,787 × (children under 6) + $6,570 × (children 6–17). Reduction = (Income − $36,502) × Phase-Out Rate. CCB = max(0, Max CCB − Reduction).
