What is the Japan Welfare Pension Calculator?
Japan's welfare pension (厚生年金, kōsei nenkin) is the earnings-related pension for employed workers, on top of the flat-rate national pension (国民年金). The contribution rate has been fixed at 18.3% since September 2017. Contributions are capped at standard remuneration of ¥650,000/month. Pensionable age starts at 65 with 10+ years of contributions.
