What is the Kindergeld-Rechner?

Kindergeld is Germany's universal child benefit paid by the Familienkasse. From 2023, the rate was unified to €250/month per child (regardless of child order), then raised to €255/month in 2025 under the Jahressteuergesetz. Parents can claim for children up to age 18 — or up to 25 if the child is in education, vocational training, or is unable to support themselves.
