Privacy Policy

1. What we do not collect

Financial inputs you type into any calculator (loan principal, EMI amount, monthly SIP, salary components, rent paid, NPS contribution, PPF tenure, and so on) are processed locally in your browser via JavaScript. They are never sent to our servers, never logged, and never stored. You can verify this by opening your browser DevTools network tab while using a calculator.

We do not ask for your phone number, PAN, Aadhaar, or date of birth to run a calculation. This is a deliberate design choice that differentiates CalcCrack from lead-generation sites that harvest contact details in exchange for results.

2. What we do collect

• Anonymous page views via Vercel Web Analytics. No cookies, no device fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. Metrics are aggregated and cannot be tied to an individual visitor.
• Server logs retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and debugging. These contain IP address, user agent, requested URL, and HTTP status.
• Supabase auth data if you voluntarily create an account to save scenarios. This is limited to your email address and a hashed password, stored in an EU-region Supabase project. Accounts are optional and not required for any calculator.
• Affiliate click events via our own first-party API when you click a loan or credit-card offer button. We log the slug of the offer, a random event ID, and a timestamp so we can reconcile commissions. No personal identifier is attached.

3. Cookies

CalcCrack uses essential cookies only. These store your cookie consent choice, dark-mode preference, and (if signed in) your Supabase session token. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or analytics cookies. If Google AdSense is enabled on specific pages in the future, it will be behind an explicit opt-in banner as required by the EU ePrivacy Directive and India DPDP Act 2023.

4. Third parties we rely on

• Vercel (hosting, edge network, analytics)
• Cloudflare (DNS, DDoS protection)
• Supabase (optional account storage, EU region)
• Google AdSense (only if approved and only on pages where labelled, behind cookie consent)
• Affiliate partners such as Paisabazaar, BankBazaar, and bank portals that you are explicitly redirected to

5. Affiliate disclosure

When you click a button labelled “Check offer”, “Get approved rate”, or similar, you are redirected to a partner such as Paisabazaar or BankBazaar. If you complete an application with them, CalcCrack may earn a referral commission. This never increases the price or rate you pay. Our calculator outputs and ranking tables are not biased by commission; rates are sourced from RBI filings and published bank pages.

6. Your rights

Under the India Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. The only personal data we store is your email address if you created an account. To exercise any right, email hello@calccrack.com from the address on file. We respond within 30 days as required by the DPDP Act.

7. Data deletion

To delete your account and all associated scenario data, send an email to hello@calccrack.com with the subject line “Delete my account”. Deletion is permanent and processed within 7 working days.

8. Children

CalcCrack is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email us and we will delete the record.

9. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced at the top of this page with a revised “Last updated” date and, where required, a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days before taking effect.
